In 2018, priority is given to projects focussing on:

  • homelessness

  • domestic abuse

  • prisoners/offenders

  • refugees and asylum seekers

We particularly welcome applications that address Rehabilitation and Mental Health needs.

 We are introducing four rounds of grant applications.

Charities with a minimum operating income of £100,000 and a maximum operating income of £1,000,000 can apply for a grant of £1,000.

Charities with a minimum operating income of £1,000,000 can apply for a grant of £5,000.

Charities can apply ONLY ONCE in any calendar year, so please choose the grant round that is best for your project.

Grant Round 1: 1st – 28th February

Grant: £1,000

Category: Health (excluding medical research)

Eligibility: minimum operating income of £100,000 and maximum operating income of £1,000,000.


Grant Round 2: 1st April -30th April

Grant: £5,000

Category: Health (excluding medical research)

Eligibility: minimum operating income of £1,000,000 – no maximum income level.


Grant Round 3: 1st – 31st July

Grant: £1,000

Category: Community

Eligibility:

minimum operating income of £100,000 and maximum operating income of £1,000,000.


Grant Round 4: 1st – 30th September

Grant: £5,000

Category: Community

Eligibility:minimum operating income of £1,000,000 – no maximum income level.

How to Apply


We only award grants to organisations registered with the Charity Commission (England, Wales and Northern Ireland) or OSCR, or exempt from registration.

As well as having priorities that we do support, we also have activities and organisations that we do not support.

What We Don't Fund

Please read this list carefully.

We choose to minimise our administration costs, so will no longer reply to applications that clearly fit in to one of these categories.

Overseas projects

Capital appeals, including equipment

Schools, including activities

Village Halls

Minibuses or other Vehicles

Shopmobility

Charities involved with religion (including repair of Church fabric)

Charities involved with animals (welfare and conservation)

Individuals, including individuals embarking on a trip overseas with a charitable organisation

Students

Scouts, Guides, Cubs, Brownies

Sea Cadets

Holidays, including respite holidays

Individual hospices (national organisations can apply)

Please do not submit an application if your charity or particular project falls within any of these categories.
